SHANNON WRIGHT - BFA 1990

I consider this piece to be about bureaucracy. It’s a heavy rubber stamp made of painted basswood, cast urethane rubber, and neoprene. I used it to awkwardly stamp out a chunky black damask wallpaper pattern over three walls.
(The piece was also designed to take up a lot of space without much “stuff” or shipping!)
My piece and one of Jared Clark’s “Bild” pieces share one space, Bruce Wilhelm’s paintings are in the other.
The show opened Friday Feb 3 and runs through the end of February. (I think!)
