JOSIE DURKIN - BFA 2003 (review attached)
TOWN & COUNTRY
Hi Connie and Friends:
I currently have work in two shows in Texas: Town and Country, at Brand 10 in Fort Worth and a solo show, Icing (Just like this…) at Texas A&M University - Commerce.
The work at Brand 10 is the installation, Bloom (I knew I loved you when…), which involves a stack of painted suitcases, a love seat, umbrellas, motors and pressure sensors. When two people sit on the love seat at the same time, the umbrellas open and close. So if you’re there - make sure to get someone to sit on the love seat with you!
The solo show at Texas A&M - Commerce includes all new sculptures and drawings.
If anyone is in the area and can make it, I’d love to see you!
